
The Geotechnical Division is responsible
for providing services related to Geotechnical
Engineering within the construction industry.
Fugro-Suhaimi Ltd. Geotechnical Division
can supply the following services:

Geotechnical
Engineering Investigations for Onshore,
Nearshore and Offshore Projects:
FSL can conduct preliminary site characterization
and feasibility studies; integrated
geophysical site surveys; drilling,
sampling, and in-situ testing, high
quality laboratory testing of soil,
rock, and construction materials, detailed
geotechnical analysis and foundation
design, foundation and structural instrumentation;
and research and consultancy services.
Techniques and equipment used include
rotary drilling equipment, or down-hole
hammers, state of the art cone penetration
testing (CPT) equipment, cross-hole
seismic testing, pressure meter testing,
dynamic cone testing, and laboratory
testing of soil and groundwater.

Pile
Installation Monitoring and Load Testing:
FSL uses dynamic pile monitoring equipment
for nearshore and offshore pile installations.
Onshore load testing and integrity testing
is conducted on piles and foundations.
This includes pile load testing up to
3000 tons, pile monitoring during driving,
and vibration and noise monitoring.

Cathodic
Protection Installation and Specialized
Drilling:
FSL has developed expertise in the installation
of shallow and deep well anodes for
cathodic protection systems, and complex
associated ancillary work. Soil resistivity
testing can be conducted as required.
Specialized drilling services include
installation of mini-piles and ground
or rock anchors, inclined boreholes,
and groundwater monitoring wells.
